See More for Greater Flexibility – With Zoom Infrared Cameras from InfraTec

The new ImageIR® 6300 Z expands the portfolio of powerful cameras with zoom lens

InfraTec has been developing infrared cameras for various industries and applications for years. The product range includes amongst others the ImageIR® 8300 Z and ImageIR® 9300 Z cooled zoom infrared cameras with 30× high-performance zoom lens and autofocus function.

Both infrared cameras are ideally suited to defense research and surveillance activities. The VarioCAM® HD Z complements these two models as an uncooled zoom thermal imaging camera in the long-wave infrared range and is used primarily for 24/7 operation in the industrial security sector.

InfraTec's latest zoom camera, which measures in the mid-infrared range like its counterparts in the ImageIR® series, is now much smaller and easier to handle.

Efficiency has a New Name – ImageIR® 6300 Z

The radiometrically calibrated ImageIR® 6300 Z uses a compact, robust SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) detector, which has been combined with a powerful zoom lens. Capable of thermographic temperature measurement in various fields, this camera is designed for any user wanting to cover a broad, universal range of applications. The consistent use of the latest technologies in optics, electronics and detectors is the basis for the remarkable user friendliness, light weight, small working volume, low power consumption and outstanding price/performance ratio. The latest model in the zoom series has a 7.5× zoom lens integrated as standard. In combination with the motorised focus, this allows a fast and flexible adjustment to different object distances and sizes. No tedious lens changes, excellent image quality and high measurement accuracy – even while the camera is zooming. At the heart of the camera is the new SWaP camera core with innovative XBn (HOT) technology. This core consists of a cooled MWIR focal plane array photon detector with a format of (640 × 512) IR pixels. The detector was designed to meet challenging requirements and operates in snapshot mode. The XBn detector material employed allows higher operating temperatures (HOT) of 150 K and the use of a new, smaller linear cooler. Set apart by a much more compact size, lower power consumption and high durability, this cooler significantly extends the maintenance-free service life. The dimensions and weight of the ImageIR® 6300 Z are significantly reduced due to the combination with a very small pixel pitch of 10 µm.

Stationary and Airborne Inspection and Surveillance Tasks

thermal imaging for security tasks

Security Applications

For observation tasks for applications - like investigation, remote surveillance, border guard and the protection of critical infrastructure - powerful infrared cameras are becoming increasingly indispensable today.

Thermography InfraTec CWD wind turbines testing

Precise MN·m Torque Measurement in Wind Turbine Test Benches

The generation of electricity power produced by wind turbines is expanding worldwide. This development is associated directly with an increasing demand to test the product reliability, functionality and life durability of wind turbine subsystems like the drive train.

Gimbal for helicopter mount

Gimbal Systems

For complex airborne measuring and testing tasks InfraTec offers radiometrically calibrated cameras to be mounted on airborne platforms. The product range includes infrared cameras with cooled and uncooled detectors for surveillance missions and extensive ground sensing programs. Due to the integration of different thermal imaging systems with up to (1,920 × 1,536) IR pixels, Gimbal systems can be configured as needed. The high-precision stabilization permits the precise measurement of distant objects despite the movement of the airborne carrier module. Depending on the task to be solved, low-distortion wide-angle or high-resolution telephoto lenses can be integrated. Examples of applications are geostudies, ground sensing, wildlife monitoring, localisation of fire, monitoring of extended photovoltaic facilities as well as missions as a part of SAR.
